On 07.11.2016 was signed the contract on the rehabilitation of the railway section Skutare - Orizovo, part of the project "Rehabilitation of railway infrastructure along the railway line Plovdiv - Bourgas, Phase 2". It is funded under OP "Transport and Transport Infrastructure" 2014 - 2020, the allocated funding amounts to 63 million BGN, VAT excluded. The section has a length of 26 km single railroad. Contractor of the Project is Association "European Railways" and the deadline for the implementation of all activities is 3 years.
