To date, more than 66% of funds under OP "Transport" are agreed and over 16% were paid to beneficiaries. This was announced by Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moscovski at the opening of a training seminar for journalists of the program.
Most likely, some of the largest rail stations in the country, along the Sofia-Bourgas line, will be refurbished with funds from the OP "Transport". Currently, a project with an indicative budget of 50 million Euros will go towards these renovations. "It is still early to mention specific numbers, but it is likely about 30 million of them will be central to the metropolitan rail station," said Ivailo Moscow. Thus, as revealed by the latest seminar, this long delayed and urgent rehabilitation could become a reality by no later than 2015.
Representatives of beneficiaries under OP "Transport" presented the ideas for the preparation and implementation of major infrastructure projects. The seminar was attended by experts from the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, "National Railway Infrastructure Company", "Road Infrastructure Agency", "Metropolitan" JSC, State Enterprise "Maritime Administration", Executive Agency "Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube ", representatives of the media, and others.
