After the conducting of an open procedure under the Public Procurement Act for the selection of contractors for the Project on the extension of the Sofia Underground, Stage III, Lot 2, section from Underground Station 13 (Mladost I, km 15+450) to Underground Station 16 (Business Park in Mladost IV, km 18+070), the following contracts have been signed for the two separate positions:

On 29 March 2013 METROPOLITEN EAD and MetroBuildMladost alliance signed a contract on the construction of Separate Position No. 1, section from Underground Station 13 (Mladost I, km 15+450) to km 17+000, with two underground stations. The contact is of 53,899,104.98 leva’s worth (exclusive of VAT). Its subject matter involves design, construction, trial-run and setting into operation of the upper sub-section of the extension of the Sofia Underground.

On 28 March 2013 METROPOLITEN EAD and Geometro B.P. alliance signed a contract on the construction of Separate Position No. 2, section from km 17+000 to Underground Station 16 (Business Park in Mladost IV, km 18+070), with one underground station. The contact is of 31,489,458 leva’s worth (exclusive of VAT).

The two contracts form a part of the Project on the extension of the Sofia Underground, Stage III, Lot 2, section from Mladost I quarter to Business Park, Mladost IV quarter, and will be financed under Priority Axis 3 of Operational Programme Transport 2007-2013 through the European Regional Development Fund and national co-financing. The term of implementation of the contracts is 24 months beginning from their entry into force.
